Some photos from April 29, 2006 Peace March in New York City

Sorry didn't get the front of this Chickhawk (Bush) - at the official start, Broadway and 22nd. And there was NO parking on this street on this date.

When asked her age she answered "Over 90!", the sign attached to her walker (hard to read through her many admirers) read: Con Job Trumps Blow Job

Peace Festival at March's end, near City Hall

Part of the crowd on April 29

Near the top, you can see the backbone campaign float with each vertebrate representing a progressive plank: out of Iraq, protect social security, health care reform, etc.

The crowds were enormous and you literally could see no farther than this at times.

Constitutional Criminal

The crowd was huge

The Raging Grannies, sweetly harmonizing

An unending stream of lies, fear and hate

The hidden caption on the colorful poster: Make Love, Not War

Several Delegations came from other states, including Washington state!
