The official report on the New York march and rally is available at the hyperlink above. I am attaching photos that I took at the event. Four of us from the Northwest New Jersey Peace Fellowship traveled on the NJ Transit train from Sparta.Three other people (I don't know who) also attended from our group, traveling a different way. I was impressed to hear that over 100 people walked over the George Washington Bridge from Bergen County to attend the march and rally. Among those who organized this feeder march was Paula Rogovin of Military Families Speak Out, who will be speaking at our Fellowship on 9 November. It would have been much bigger had the weather been good.

Larry Hamm of the New Jersey People's Organization for Progress and Peace and Justice Coalition was one of the rally speakers (as is noted on the official report). The Peace and Justice Coalition is planning a statewide antiwar conference, which will be held on January at the Rutgers Law School in Newark. I will propose that our Fellowship endorse this conference and send representatives. Also, Madelyn Hoffman, the executive director of New Jersey Peace Action (of which our group is a member organization), was one of the rally chairpeople.

That's about all I have to add to the official report. Even in the pouring rain, we were proud to be in attendance at this important protest against the Iraq war.

Yours for peace and justice,
Tom
